🐠 Led Tv Backlight Not Working

I have a Polaroid Series 1 49” full HD TV. Here is the problem: When I plug the TV in, the screen flashes for a split second with the Polaroid logo then goes black. When I make the room pitch black, I can see very faintly what is on the screen. After much research, it seems as though the backlights are not working.

Pressing F10 or fn+F10 does not do anything. There is no option for keyboard brightness or settings in the Windows Mobility Center. I checked my BIOS and I think it's up-to-date.
